  • Summary

    Dubuque Esports League (DEL) is seeking a motivated esports content creator and shoutcaster as an internship. This applicant must have a passion for gaming, a creative mindset, and ability to captivate audiences through their content. With this internship position you will be working with the DEL tem to create and promote DEL gaming content that aligns with the DEL mission, vision and values. Dubuque Esports League is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that encourages competitive and recreational players to develop skills through hands-on, experiential learning. Our mission is to provide opportunities for EVERYONE to use esports as a platform to develop STEM-based skills, grow in their social-emotional attributes and characteristics, discover career pathways, and enhance skills needed to thrive in work and life.

    Job Type:
    -Paid Contracted
    -Part-time Internship: 25 hours (5 hours per week)
    -On-site & Remote

    Reports To: DEL Executive Director

    Responsibilities:
    -    Support the social media team in developing a Twitch, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok social strategy to drive brand awareness and engagement

    -Storyboard and create video/graphic content to align with Dubuque Esports League brand voice and visual guidelines brands

    -Keep up the date on the latest and emerging platform trends, and propose ideas on how we can show up on these social platforms

    -Help identify video influencers and work to partner with them to promote DEL

    -Be self-sufficient with producing branded content

    -Create 2 pieces of quality content on a weekly basis

    -Shoutcast DEL competitive competitions and/or voice over gaming highlight

    Qualifications:

    -Candidates should have strong creative and mobile video skills, as well as a knowledge of the social media and influencer space

    -University or college student

    -Passion and experience with esports and streaming

    -Comfortable with working with Google Drive, Canva and video production software

    -Creative energy, self-starter and eager to learn

    -Complete mandatory reporter training by State of Iowa

    -Valid State ID or Proof of International Student Work Authorization
