  • Winter Season: November 2024 - Feb 2025


    A successful Rocket League & Overwatch 2 Esports High School Coach should have extensive experience in esports and be able to teach others how to play. Their main responsibility is to guide the team throughout the sports season with some specific duties and responsibilities including:

    • Planning and leading practice sessions

    • Creating strategies to lean the team to victory in competitions

    • Providing feedback and coaching during competitions

    • Maintaining player and team records

    • Recruiting new athlete for DEL

    • Mentoring players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game and players

    • Motivating players to improve

    • Maintaining safe playing conditions

    Position Responsibilities and Qualifications

    • An ability to develop and understand development programs with individuals and groups to create training routines that assist players in reaching gaming and academic goals.

    • Enforce DEL policies and safety rules

    • Be punctual and conduct yourself in a professional manner

    • A dedication to maintaining and growing personal integrity

    • Attend all in-service trainings and meetings 

    Position Requirements

    • Attend and uphold AEA Mandatory Reporter Certification

    • Must Pass Background check

    Commitment & Compensation

    • Monday 3-5pm 

    • Tuesday 3-6:30 pm - JV competition night

    • Wednesday 5:30-8:30pm

    • Thursday 3-6:30pm - Varsity competition night

    • $3100 for Winter Season

    • Planning and leading club nights

    • Creating strategies to lead the club in various activities

    • Providing feedback and coaching during activities

    • Maintaining club organization and encourage group participation

    • Recruiting new members for DEL Clubs and Leagues

    • Mentoring players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game and players

    • Motivating players to improve

    • Maintaining safe playing conditions

    Position Responsibilities and Qualifications

    • An ability to develop and understand development programs with individuals and groups to create sportsmanship that assist players in reaching gaming and academic goals.

    • Enforce DEL policies and safety rules

    • Be punctual and conduct yourself in a professional manner

    • A dedication to maintaining and growing personal integrity

    • Attend all in-service trainings and meetings 

    Position Requirements

  • Dubuque Esports League Iowa Fraud Fighter Internship

    24-25 School Year: October - May

    Join the Fight Against Fraud! As a Dubuque Esports League (DEL) Iowa Fraud Fighter Intern, you'll be at the forefront of combating financial scams that target seniors. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fraud prevention, consumer protection, and community outreach. This opportunity is made possible by a partnership with DEL and the Iowa Department of Finance & Insurance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Attend an in-person training from the Iowa Department of Finance & Insurance. During this training you will learn how to conduct a Fraud Fighter Seminar to help seniors identify and avoid scams. This training will cover investment fraud, medicare fraud  and other consumer scams.

    • Conduct 3 seminars to educate seniors and the broader community about fraud prevention strategies using tools and education provided by the Iowa Department of Finance & Insurance.

    • Be prepared, setup/tear down and display professionalism.

    • Follow up on any requests from participants if needed. 

    • A strong commitment to service excellence and helping the 65+ community. 

    Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business, Finance, Insurance, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others.

    • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

    About Iowa Fraud Fighters:
    The Iowa Department of Finance & Insurance created the Iowa Fraud Fighters program to safeguard Iowans from financial scams. Through free educational seminars, they equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and report investment, consumer, and insurance fraud, including Medicare fraud.

    Six internship positions are available.
